What are Artificial Intelligence(AI) and Emotional AI?

  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Advantages and disadvantages of AI
  • Impact of AI on the world
  • Emotional Artificial Intelligence
  • Human vs AI
  • Conclusion

In this article, we’ll be discussing three topics – artificial intelligence (AI), emotional AI, and the human vs AI. We’ll start by explaining what AI is and how it works, then move on to emotional AI and how it can be used to read and respond to human emotions. Finally, we’ll touch on the competition between human and robots(machine with AI).

Artificial Intelligence ( AI )

What is Artificial Intelligence?

Artificial intelligence (AI) is an area of computer science that emphasizes the creation of intelligent machines that work and react like humans. Computers with artificial intelligence are designed to perform the activities which are as follows:

-Learning

-Planning

-Problem-solving

-Perception

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a mix of two terms Artificial and Intelligence. It is a reference to the man-made intelligence. So when machines are armed with artificial intelligence that performs human-like tasks and is referred to by the term Artificial Intelligence. It’s about creating intelligent machines that mimic the human brain, and function just like humans.

The definition of AI as ” Artificial Intelligence is a subfield of computer science which deals in the development of intelligent machines that are able to behave as humans and think as human and make decision on its on their own.”

With AI machines, they can acquire human-like skills like reasoning, learning and solving logical puzzles.

AI is among the most advanced technologies, which has made life for humans simpler through the provision of solutions to difficult issues. It also has brought new possibilities for all, therefore it is a demanded technology on the marketplace.

Brief History of Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence is often viewed as to be a brand new technology, however in reality, it’s not anything new. The scientists working in the area of AI are actually much older. It is believed that the idea AI as a machine that is intelligent can be discovered within Greek Mythology. Below are some important pillars of the creation of AI:

  • In 1943, Warren McCulloch along with Walter pits suggested a model for artificial neurons.
  • In 1950 Alan Turing published the “Computer Machinery and Intelligence” document in which he proposed the test known as the Turing Test. This test is used to measure the intelligence of machines by determining whether the machine can think or not.
  • In 1956, for the very first time AI was first coined. Artificial Intelligence was coined by the American Computer scientist John McCarthy at the Dartmouth Conference. John McCarthy is also known as the father of AI.
  • In 1972, the first fully-scale smart humanoid robotic WABOT1, the first full-scale intelligent humanoid robot, was invented in Japan.
  • The year was 1980 and AI was introduced with the advancement of Expert Systems. These are computer programs that were designed specifically to tackle difficult issues.
  • In 1997 IBM Deep Blue beat the world champion in chess Gary Kasparov and became the first computer to beat an international chess champion.
  • In the year of 2006, AI came into the world of business. The top businesses in the world like Facebook, Twitter, and Netflix also began to use AI in their apps.

What is Emotional AI?

Emotional AI is a branch of AI that deals with the ability of machines to interpret and respond to human emotions. This involves understanding not just the literal meaning of what is said, but also the emotions and intent behind the words. For example, a customer service chatbot that can tell when a user is angry or frustrated and adjust its responses accordingly.

Emotional artificial intelligence (AI) is a field of AI that deals with the ability of computers to recognize, interpret, and respond to human emotions. Emotional AI is still in its early stages, but it has the potential to revolutionize the way we interact with technology.

One area where emotional AI could have a major impact is in the development of personal assistant apps. These apps could use emotional AI to provide a more personalized and human experience. For example, they could detect when you are feeling stressed or sad and offer support or suggestions accordingly.

Another area where emotional AI could be used is in customer service. Imagine being able to talk to a chatbot that can understand your emotions and provide helpful responses. This could greatly improve the customer service experience. However, it could be a dangerous act to develop emotions inside machines like robots. For example, if a human and a robot start liking the same object it could lead to a disaster. It should also be kept in mind that nature has blessed human beings with a lot of chemicals inside their brain like dopamine, serotonin, etc. to make them emotionally intelligent. These chemicals play a vital role in controlling emotions. Balance of such chemicals is necessary.

Advantages and disadvantages of AI

Artificial intelligence has been a hot topic in recent years, with many people touting its potential to change the world as we know it. Some believe that AI will usher in a new era of human-like machines that can think and process the information on their own, while others are more skeptical, arguing that AI could lead to job losses and other negative consequences.

There are advantages and disadvantages to artificial intelligence, which we will explore in this blog post.

On the plus side, artificial intelligence has the potential to revolutionize many industries, from healthcare to transportation. AI can help us make faster and more accurate decisions by analyzing vast amounts of data that would be too difficult for humans to process. For example, AI is being used to develop new drugs and diagnose diseases earlier than ever before.

AI can also help us automate repetitive tasks so that we can focus on more creative work. For instance, robots are already being used in manufacturing to assemble products faster and with fewer errors than human workers. In the future, AI could be used to do things like drive cars and fly planes, freeing up our time for other activities.

On the downside, some experts warn that artificial intelligence could lead to mass unemployment as machines increasingly replace human beings

Impact of AI on the world

When it comes to the impact of AI on the world, there are both proponents and detractors of the technology. On one hand, some believe that AI will eventually lead to a future where machines are able to carry out all tasks currently performed by humans. This would obviously have a major impact on the workforce, with many jobs becoming obsolete. On the other hand, there are those who believe that AI will actually create new opportunities for humans, as we will be able to focus on more creative and higher-level tasks.

There is no doubt that AI is already having a major impact on the world and this is only set to increase in the future. As such, it is important to stay informed about the latest developments in the field so that we can make the most of the opportunities presented to us.

Human vs AI:

It is assumed that Robots would replace humans with the help of AI. Artificial Intelligence is allowing machines (Robots) to act like us. Even nowadays, scientists are trying to induce emotions inside the robots so that they can feel too. Perhaps they want to make robots emotionally intelligent so they can replace humans smoothly.

However, In my point of view, it is just a whim. This is the world in which only human beings are blessed with a lot of intelligence by ALLAH ALMIGHTY (GOD). It is not that much easy to control such machines like robots after providing them the artificial Intelligence.

Conclusion

Artificial intelligence is still in its early stages, but it has the potential to revolutionize our lives. However, it could also threaten human beings if artificial machines start competing with humans. Emotional AI is one area that shows great promise, as it can help us understand and respond to our emotions more effectively.

It is pertinent to mention that GOD is never afraid by giving a lot of intelligence to humans because HE is SUPREME whereas human is scared of his own created Robots to whom he has given artificial intelligence.
